Oshkosh 2007
We
celebrated our "Silver Anniversary" at AirVenture this year -- our 25th
consecutive year attending the Experimental Aircraft Association's Oshkosh
fly-in convention!
As always, it was a special time for our family,
since it is rare that we can ever get away from the hotel for longer than a
day or two. But before we could enjoy all those laid-back days in the
sun, we put on our biggest blow out of the year, our
5th Annual Iowa City Pool Party!
With 25 aircraft and over 75 people in attendance, a great time was had by
all!
Then, the following morning, seven of us departed
Iowa City together, and flew into Airventure together as a "flight".
This ensured that we were all parked close together, and the party continued
throughout the week.
On Wednesday Night we hosted the
5th Annual H.O.P.S. Party at our campsite
in Row 547 in the North 40 camping area. This event is put on by
a group of aviation newsgroup mavens, including Jim & Tami Burns, and Paul
Montgomery, who are able to drive into the grounds with tables, chairs,
coolers, and all the other things that can't be brought in by airplane.
As always, the show was excellent -- click

taken throughout the week!
