2005 Udvar-Hazy Trip
When
we were invited to appear at the first-ever "Be a Pilot Day" at the
Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum, representing "family flying," we
were thunderstruck. I mean, who would ever have thought that we could
progress from being "fossils" to "museum exhibits" so quickly?
Seriously, it was a great honor, and we had an
absolutely marvelous trip. To be on display in the same venue as
the Space Shuttle and SR-71 Blackbird was just amazing, and we will remember
it for a lifetime. Better yet, we may have changed a few minds about
general aviation, and hopefully may have made a few converts to this
wondrous thing we call "flying"...
