The Oshkosh Suite
Aviation
enthusiasts from around the world have gathered to celebrate at the
Experimental
Aircraft Association fly-in since 1953. Held at Milwaukee,
Wisconsin's Curtis-Wright (now Timmerman) Airport until 1959, the
every-growing fly-in was first moved to Rockford, Illinois, and then to
Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where since 1970 it has grown into the largest aviation
celebration in the world.
We have attended every "AirVenture" since 1982. In fact, "Oshkosh"
(at it is universally known) has become the touchstone of our lives,
appearing in our photo albums every year for a quarter of a century.
The sound of a B-25 thundering over our tent at O-dark-thirty, the smell of
suntan lotion and aviation fuel, the old and new friends -- all combine to
make Oshkosh our very favorite place in the world.
Our non-smoking Oshkosh Suite captures a
little piece of this world. Because AirVenture is a family
event, the Oshkosh Suite is a "family-sized" unit, at well over 600 square
feet. With two separate bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a
full-sized sleeper-sofa in the living room, your family and friends will
enjoy more living space than in any standard hotel room.
Unlike camping on the field in OSH, however, you won't lack for luxury.
With an 84-gallon, 2-person Jacuzzi hot tub, a full kitchen, a
delivered-to-your-suite continental breakfast, and a balcony overlooking the
pool, "roughing it" will not be in your vocabulary! Best of all, for
you Oshkosh North 40 veterans, the shower stays on without having to pull a
trigger on the handle...
Finally, due to popular demand, we have made this suite "pet friendly"
-- which means you probably DON'T want this suite if you're allergic to pets
of any kind. However, if you want to bring your pet along, simply add
$10 per night to the rate.
From just $124.95 per night...
