DC-3 "Rose" in Iowa City
In late August, 2006, "Rose" -- a gorgeous 1943
Douglas DC-3 airliner -- graced our tarmac in Iowa City. This type of
airliner served Iowa City for many years, under both the United and Ozark
Air Lines marquis, so many local residents appreciated the significance of
the visit.
Owner John Pappas and his wife, along with pilot
Dave Costa were guests of ours at the Inn, and in return we received a pair
of wonderful rides aboard this classic old airliner.
All of the videos were taken from inside
the aircraft.
